BIRTHDAY.
This is the day when your mom sacrificed and actually gave all of her energy just for you to be on this world. This is the day when you had your first cry, first inhale of the delivery room air, first feeling of being touched by the doctors and nurses, and first drink of the very nutritious breast milk. This is the day that the Lord gave to your parents as a wonderful gift.
Every year you celebrate this day and you age one step ahead. As you surpass your childhood days you became older and older every year. But that doesn't mean you are already mature. You either learn a lot of things from the years that passed by and apply it to your everyday life or you just ignore it. Every year that you grow, you experience and witness a lot of events, and you either learn from it or not. As a person grows old, he/she has the power to control his life. To decide things on his own whether this will be a help or actually make problems out of it. As a person gets old, he will only grow physically and look older than the look he has before but it's up to him if he decided to be mature enough to live in this very challenging world.
I myself had stepped another year of my life. Today is my birthday. My unexpected day of birth. People will either greet me or not. But this is all that I can say, I am thankful that I have my family and friends. I am thankful for the events in my life that I failed and passed because I learned a lot from it. I am thankful because God gave me another year of life to experience a lot of things and to grow as a better person and to be able to help other people too.
So, Happy Birthday to me! Thank you Lord for this day!
