Zalora Philippines

Shopping in malls can be, for some women or people a way to release their stress out. But for most busy people, its a bit hard for their schedule to include shopping for new shoes or new office/casual clothes because of their very busy and hectic work schedule. Also, its very tiring if you like to look for some good choices that is budget friendly at the mall and its also much time consuming..

Well, this is not new anymore, however, I just want to share my experience in shopping for shoes with the help of...

ZALORA PHILIPPINE'S LEADING ONLINE SHOPPING SITE FOR FASHION, CLOTHES AND SHOES

I know some of you are already familiar with Zalora. I learned about this store when I read my friend's blog about it.

So, here I am, in need of a closed shoes with black as the main color. My feet size is almost 5 (4.8-ish i think) and I really have a hard time looking for a budget friendly but still good looking shoes in malls. Most of the shoes with a nice design are usually 6 or 7 in size. And the remaining sized 5 shoes are more than 900.

My budget is only 700-800 and it must be black and closed. I got tired of wearing wedges and heeled shoes for work that made me decide to buy. I remembered about Zalora and tried to visit the site. I immediately clicked on the flats categories and chose size 5.

I tried looking, until I found the shoes that I've been wanting to have. It has a zebra print and it looks cute. I immediately added it to cart since it was the last pair. I signed up for a zalora account and just waited for the confirmation of my order.

One of the thing that's so nice about shopping here is the payment method. They have different types of payment methods. From credit card, to bank deposit payment, and even CASH ON DELIVERY! I chose COD as mode of payment since it is so convenient. I just left an authorization letter and my payment and viola! My package was delivered after 2 days (tho my package really arrived the day after I ordered, I just wasn't able to leave my payment behind!)

So fast isn't it?

Next time that I will buy new clothes, I'll definitely buy again here at Zalora Philippines.

Center for Culinary Arts: Launching of The Coffee Academy

Are you a coffee lover like me and wants to study more about coffee and wondering where to enroll?

Behold! :)

The Center for Culinary Arts Manila launched another academic program that will cater to people who loves coffee and who wants to learn more about coffee, the much awaited Coffee Academy.

The Coffee Academy was launched last June 7, 2012 and I am very lucky to be part of this event since I am a coffee lover who wants to learn more about coffee! :)

I saw the ad at Cravings' Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/cravingsphilippines) and I immediately followed the instructions on how to get an invite. I was very early that day (the program starts at 9:30 am and I arrived there at 8:30 in the morning! Excited much? :D).

Anyway, I waited for some guests to arrive and when I met Ms. Aica (the Marketing Officer for Cravings), she accompanied me to the room where the event is going to happen. It was a small yet nice coffee class room with 6 espresso machines, has a very good aroma of the coffee beans and the barista trainers are all there. Though I felt little awkward at first, I started taking some pictures and Ms. Aica introduced me to the guests and some teachers. And luckily, a friend of mine arrived! I'm not alone :D.

The event has free coffee tasting or I should say free unlimited coffee for 3 hours! There were 6 espresso drinks that can be ordered, made by the trainers themselves, (the trainers are directors, managers, and some are chefs!) and served to you hot!
Espresso Macchiato
  • Espresso - a concentrated type of coffee, brewed by forcing a small amount of almost boiling water through finely and fresh ground coffee beans.
  • Espresso Macchiato - a type of espresso drink in which the milk goes first before the espresso shot which creates a mark over the foam of the milk. *Macchiato means to mark.
  • Americano - Americano is the type of espresso drink similar to regular brewed coffee. The strength of this drink depends on the number of espresso shot.
  • Latte - a latte is made from espresso shot added with steamed milk with a little bit of foam on top.
  • Cappuccino - the way the cappuccino is made is similar to latte, however, cappuccino has much more foam than a latte. Half of the drink has steamed milk, and half of it has foam.
  • Latte Macchiato (my favorite latte and macchiato in one!) - same as with the espresso macchiato. The only difference is that latte macchiato has much more milk the the espresso macchiato.
My first coffee of the day,
Latte Macchiato! :)

Socializing was the first part of the program, well actually, it's not just the first part, IT IS THE PROGRAM! Unlike any other ordinary events which starts with the host talking, this event started with a cup of coffee. People are just socializing and enjoying each other's company.

Me with Master Barista
Ms. Melissa Caia
With the CEO of Cravings Group
Ms. Badgie Trinidad
The emcee, Mr. Raoul, introduced to us the Chief Executive Officer of the Cravings Group, Badgie Trinidad and also the Master Barista trainer from William Angliss Institute of TAFE (Melbourne, Australia) and also a judge of World Barista Championships, Ms. Melissa Caia.

The Cravings Group and the William Angliss Institute have joined forces to introduce the coffee academy here in the Philippines, and Ms. Melissa trained the teachers for the academy.

We spent the whole day watching some demonstrations on how to make espresso drinks with the use of the espresso machines, socializing and meeting new friends, and most of all, enjoying our free tasty espresso coffees!

The class might start around July this year. If you want to know more about the program, you can contact them through:

Peace & Love - ZIA

Here are the photos of Zia Quizon's first self-titled album, which I took last April when I got my prize CD from Ms. Ruth Floresca (author of the blog, http://mommywrites.blogspot.com/).

I really love the album! The moment I received it, I played it immediately and it was on a repeat the whole album mode :D. I do love the whole album and the singer ( hhehe) because the songs are very relaxing and I love Zia's voice. :)

If you ask me which song is my most favorite,

well, my answer would be....

ALL OF IT! :)

I am excited for Zia's 2nd album to be released!!! =D

Way to go Zia!
